About Us

Clifton House is family owned and personally run by John and Jan Bird.

Our aim is to provide a beautiful and historic setting in which to relax, enjoy and replenish.  It is our pleasure to share with you the atmosphere of Clifton House.  You will have a beautifully equipped bedroom and we also invite you to enjoy the guest drawing room and also the garden.  Breakfast is taken in the wonderful dining room each morning between 8.00am and 9.30 (8.30 and 10.00am on Lazy Sundays) but earlier times can be made by prior arrangement; we aim to be flexible.

Fruit juices and fruit salad
Toast, croissants with jams and marmalades

English breakfast
(sausage, bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato plus egg to order)
Tea and freshly brewed coffee

Lazy Sundays………. If you are staying with us on a Sunday, this is the day you can relax and enjoy the papers, savour a leisurely breakfast and make the most of the surroundings at Clifton House.  The chance to unwind and recharge – we invite you!
