Clifton House is located approximately 400m north of the centre of Bradford on Avon The house was formally a 17th century coaching inn with significant alterations in Georgian times and provides 5 high quality guest rooms.. We endeavour to meet the requirements of our guests, however there are some features of the house that might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. The house has no ground floor bedrooms and no lift but has a wide wooden staircase with shallow steps to the first floor. There is one step into the house at the front door, the doorways in the house are generally large.
Pre-Arrival
- The house is located on the north side of Bradford on Avon on the A363, the Bath Road, the entrance to the drive is between two large stone pillars which are 2.60m apart.
- The nearest general store and post office is approximately 200m.
- The nearest bus stop is right outside the house. The bus runs every 30 minutes into Bath and every two hours on a Sunday. The nearest railway station is in the centre of Bradford on Avon, there is a taxi rank at the station.
- We do not accept pets.
- Our information pack and menus can be provided in large print if required. We do not have facilities to prepare documents in braille.

Main Entrance
- There is one step of 10cm up to the front door, the door is 1m wide.
Guest Drawing room and Dining Room
- The drawing room is for guest use only and has a small bar licensed to sell wines, spirits and beers.
- The drawing room has three sofas, two leather tub chairs and three straight back chairs.
- Breakfast is served in the guest dining room.
Bedrooms
- All bedrooms are carpeted.
- All bedrooms have either an en-suite or private bath or shower room; no guests share bathrooms.
- Each room has a hospitality tray containing tea, coffee and hot chocolate, biscuits and also bottled water.
- All rooms have remote controlled flat screen digital colour televisions with "free view".
- Each room has a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, additional pillows and blankets. Hypo-allergenic duvets and pillows are available upon request.
- Fans and electric heaters are available on request if required.
- We are happy to provide sheets and blankets if preferred. Please specify, before your arrival, if required.

- All rooms have king size beds except the twin room which has two 3ft single beds. All beds are accessible from both sides.
Gardens
- The house has a large level walled rear garden.
- Guests are welcome to relax in the garden.
- Access to the garden is via the drive with no steps.
Additional Information
- The house has a full L3 fire detection and alarm system. There are water fire extinguishers on all floors.
- On hearing the alarm sound the building is evacuated through the font door and the assembly point is outside the main gate.
- We do not permit smoking in the house but you may smoke in our garden away from the house.
- We are happy to refrigerate foods or medicines.
